2. Central VP
a. High Schools – Contact list distributed.
b. Small Schools – Forum at Nationals, further discussion tabled until forum.
c. Fundraising Package – To be distributed at Nationals
NEW BUSINESS:
3. Bids for Central Canadian Novice Championship
a. University of Western Ontario submits sole bid. Tournament to be held the weekend after Thanksgiving
i. Discussion surrounding future implications for Hart House tournament tabled.
b. Ottawa/Hart House to approve of Western’s bid. PASSED.
4. Bids for Central Canadian Leger Cup.
a. University of Western Ontario submits sole bid
i. Tournament tentatively set for November 23 – 25 – reservations by McGill for having it in November, suggest switching date with Trent in January. Dates to be posted with ratification from Central members.
ii. York/McGill to approve of Western’s bid. PASSED.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
5. Guelph Novice
a. concerns over the lack of judging support at this year’s tournament.
b. request’s increased support from experienced debaters to judge at tournament.
